Meeting Planners Coming to Florida Have a New ‘Green’ Incentive to Consider When Booking Their Events
JUPITER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa, a 4-star resort in Palm Beach County, Florida, recognizes the need for a more active role in balancing its impact on the environment and is launching this initiative by offering meeting planners, who book events through April 20th 2008, ‘Carbon Offsetting’ for all attendees.
“We see this as a first step in being proactive, instead of waiting for something to be done,” says Jeff Castner, General Manager of the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa.
“With the growing awareness to the changes in our environment comes the advent of organizations that give us the ability to ‘offset’ the carbon byproduct produced by us when we travel. This Carbon Offsetting can be accomplished through the purchasing of ‘Carbon Offsetting Credits’ with organizations such as www.gogreennow.org. You purchase credit for the C02 created by your flight, your drive and even your time spent at the resort. Additionally, we offer our guests to the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa the ability to help compensate for their impact on the environment online at www.jupiterbeachresort.com/travelgreen. We hope that this particular promotion, where the resort pays for the Carbon Offsetting of our guests, will become the catalyst for similar campaigns to be adopted by everyone in the future. We will also distribute luggage tags to participating guests for their return trips that tell everyone ‘I’m Traveling Green’. Other initiatives in the final stages of production are ‘Green Weddings’ and ‘Green Meetings’ in which recycled products are used with the consent of the guest. There are literally dozens of ways we as an industry can improve our environmental impact.” Mr. Castner explains, “For the first time this year we offer ‘Green Gift Certificates’, (www.jupiterbeachresort.com/giftcertificates). Even if you do not stay with us, we ask everyone to consider Carbon Offsetting when making their travel plans. We have put several websites which offer these services on our ‘Travel Green’ page at www.jupiterbeachresort.com./travelgreen.”

Great job!! Way to take the initiative on this important issue. As one of the vendors that works at JBR frequently, I can attest to the attention to detail that Jonathan and the entire staff pay to every guest. Hopefully more resorts and hotels will adopt a similar policy.
Thanks
Brad

Along with the 4 star resort & spa the Jupiter Beach Resort has, please read this testimony on the up scale service you may recieve from local Concierge physician.
Being a patient of Dr David C. Rosenberg for a few years, it has to be said that the care one receives from him and his staff is unmatched to any medical care a patient can receive anywhere else. VIP doctors such as Dr Rosenberg concentrate on preventive care, which means he takes measures to prevent illness. Rather than treating an illness that you might already have, he tries to prevent you from getting sick in the first place! The extra cost s associated with having a private or VIP concierge doctor is well worth the benefits received. One always feels secure having him as your doctor, because he is always available when you need him via cell phone or e-mail, day or night. You can find Dr David C. Rosenberg at his office 2141 Alternate A1A South, Suite 200 Jupiter, Florida. It is located in Three Palms Center on Alternate A1A South (SR 811) between Toney Pena and Frederick Small road. To get in touch with him Visit his website at www.jupiterfamilypractice.com or call his office at 561-743-0005. )--

Too often travel, instead of broadening the mind, merely lengthens the conversation. I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.
